Success comes to those who become success conscious.  Failure comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to become failure conscious.

The object of this book is to help all who seek it, to learn the art of changing their minds from failure conscious to success conscious.

The ether in which this little planet floats is a form of energy moving at an inconceivably high rate of vibration.  And that ether is filled with a form of universal power.   This power makes no attempt to discriminate between destructive and constructive thoughts, that it will urge us to translate into physical reality thoughts of poverty just as quickly as it will influence us to act upon thoughts of riches.

He should have told us that our brains become magnetized with the dominating thoughts we hold in our minds.

All achievement, no matter what it’s nature or purpose, must begin with an intense, burning desire for something definite.  Through some strange and powerful principle of “mental chemistry,” Nature wraps up in the impulse of strong desire “that something” which rocognizes no such word as impossible.  This accepts no such reality as failure.

There is nothing to hinder you from “deceiving” your subconscious mind.  You can give it instructions through autosuggestion.   To make this “deceit” more realistic, conduct yourself just as you would if you were already in possession of the material thing which you are demanding.

A mind dominated by positive emotions become a favorable abode for the state of mind knows as faith.  A mind so dominated may, at will, give the subconscious mind instructions, which it will accept and act upon immediately.  This information is easily conveyed: any idea, plan, or purpose may be placed in mind through petition of thought.

This is why you are asked to write out a statement of your major purpose, or Definite Chief Aim, commit it to memory and repeat it.  In audible word, day-after-day, until these vibrations of sound reached your subconscious mind.   The ability to reach and influence your subconscious mind has it’s price, and you must pay that price.

The price is everlasting persistence in applying the principles described here.   You cannot develop the desired ability to lower price.    REMEMBER that no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty.

Today’s Chunk of Smart is from the book “Think and Grow Rich.”   Best book I have ever read.  Changed my life
